Whale Watching

We have had an amazing and exhausting day today, having visited Tarifa (down at the point, on the Strait of Gibraltar) for a whale-watching expedition. After our three-hour cruise, the students headed into the old city for shopping and culinary adventures.

The last few days have been a whirlwind, as we discover this beautiful city. We have walked the city, visited La Caleta (the beach in the old city) and La Victoria, a beautiful beach in the new city. All are settling in well to their Spanish homes, enjoying the food, and learning about local customs and life.

Tomorrow classes begin at 9 AM, and in the afternoon, electives begin. Lots planned for this week--dance lessons (flamenco), coffee and conversation hours, a visit to a "parque natural" and much more. More to come soon.
